April H. Bailey is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Edinburgh. Her work addresses gender beliefs and biases from a social cognitive perspective. She is also interested in how gender intersects with other dimensions of identity and in the role of language. She uses quantitative methods from psychology as well as computational linguistics, often collaborating with cognitive scientists, philosophers, linguistics, and computer scientists. She holds a PhD in Social and Personality psychology and a graduate certificate in Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies from Yale University.
