PhD Candidate, the Institute for Biomedical Ethics (IBMB) at the University of Basel
Christian is a PhD student at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics (IBMB) at the University of Basel, under the supervision of Dr. David Shaw and Dr. Kirsten Persson. He holds a MA in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg, where he also studied social sciences in the Pluralist Societies program. His current research focuses on the ethics of animal research. He is part of the cantonal commission on animal experimentation in Fribourg. More generally, his areas of interest include animal ethics, population ethics, and empirical bioethics methodologies. Christian is visiting UOI and the Philosophical Moral Psychology Lab until December 2025.
