Jen Semler

Jen is a postdoctoral researcher at Cornell. She completed her DPhil in philosophy at the University of Oxford, supervised by Carissa Véliz and Alison Hills. Her research focuses on artificial moral agency. During her DPhil she conducted x-phi work in the lab on the folk concept of moral agency and ordinary intuitions about artificial intelligence. She also holds an MPhil in philosophy from the University of Cambridge, an MA in medieval Icelandic studies from the University of Iceland, and a BA in philosophy and public policy from Duke University. Her research focuses on artificial moral agency.
