Maryam was a previous lab manager and research assistant for the Philosophical Moral Psychology Lab. She was also a research assistant for the Counterfactual Assessment and Valuation for Awareness Architecture (CAVAA) project, where she investigated the intersection of Generative Artificial Intelligence and moral judgments. Her current projects focus on the asymmetry of credit and blame associated with the use of AI, as well as moral and aesthetic evaluations of AI-generated creative outputs. Prior to joining the lab, Maryam was a Chevening scholar at the University of Edinburgh, where she earned her MSc in Psychological Research. Her dissertation examined moral circle expansion towards political outgroups.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Maryam has a deep appreciation for art and music, and how they connect us. You can find one of her playlists here.
