Dr Sommers holds a PhD in psychology from Yale University and a JD from Yale Law School. She is the founder and director of the Psychology and Law Studies Lab. She studies the many ways in which the law misunderstands people and people misunderstand the law. Her work is part of a growing field known as experimental jurisprudence.
